A great educationist. Established two great schools in Mumbai viz. Union High School & Orient High School. Due to his donation of Rs. 5000/- and the push Mandal's own building was created. He was Chairman of S.H.M. during April 1952 to March, 1970. During his tenure S.H.M. made memorable progress.

Retired as Head Postmaster, Kalbadevi Post Office. Chairman of Silver Jubilee function of S.H.M., started High School at Poynad.
For 5 years he was Trustee of S.H.M. He donated Rs. 5000/- in name of his wife Saraswatibai to enable S.H.M. to have own Office. Further he donated Rs. 4000/- to S.H. M. to create Saraswatibai Haldavanekar Memorial Fund.

He was one of the persons who tried almagmation of various institutions into S.H.M. For 16 years he was Trustee of S.H.M., S.H.M. benefitted from his free legal advice.

Gopal Raghunath Wagle & Sadashiv Raghunath Wagle

These two brothers in 1910 donated their property worth Rs. 16000/- equally to Saraswat Vidyawardhal Samaj and Saraswat Atmonnati Samaj through Wagle Trust. On almagmation of these two institutes in
S.H.M.; these money vested in S.H.M. It was a great example of philanthropy at that time.
Hari Balwant Shevade

In 1944 he donated bonds worth Rs. 20000/- to S.H.M. in name of his late wife Radhabai Shevade to help needy from the community to study vocational courses. For this purpose Shevade Trust was
formed.
Savitribai Dinkar Kalvari

She donated Rs. 20000/- out of provident fund to be received. On her sudden demise her sister Smt Sitabai alias Anandibai Purushottam Sakhalkar executed her will. As per wish, Rs. 10000/- utilised for students hostel in name of husband Dinkar Vasudeo Kalvari and balance Rs. 10000/- were placed in corpus fund to be utilised for grant scholarship to needy and bright students in name of mother Rukminibai Haripant Wagle.

He was social activist. He was Trustee of S.H.M. for 5 years. The foundation stone of Saraswat Bhawan was laid down at his hands. The Gaud Saraswat Co-op Credit office was functioning from his residence
at Walkeshwar for many initial years. He was one of the rare selfless person working for community.
